Love in a Box

This part of the operation with reference to Mustard Seed Relief Mission has been in place since 1992 just after the Balkan War in 1991. Boxes are collected at the end of October each year.

The items given to underprivileged children are packed into shoe boxes. The age range of children give these shoe boxes are as follows:-

• Boys 3-5years
• Boys 6-11years
• Boys 12-15years
• Girls 3-5years
• Girls 6-11years
• Girls 12-15years

Boxes come from many different organisations such as schools, churches, members of the public and many other types of organisation. Each year over 50,000 boxes are sent out to underprivileged children throughout Eastern Europe.

They really appreciate these presents as many of these children do not have anything. Each box is sent to the Mustard Seed Relief Misson with a Love in a Box leaflet. A donation of £2 per box is requested. This is used to pay towards some of the transportation costs. It is surprising all the costs which are involved and how they all add up as there are many outgoings which need to be accounted for. For Eg Transport Costs, Fuel, Electric, Equipment, Packaging etc and these are to name but a few.
